Meet Our Woodworkers / Authors

Tim is the Vice President of Sales and Marketing and has been with the company for over 9 years.  When it comes to woodworking, he knows a neat new product when he sees it.  In his words, his woodworking skills should be listed as “beginner level…at best” but he looks forward to getting better.  Tim really enjoys working with and for woodworkers and thinks they are some of the best people on earth.

Eric is Eagle America’s Product Manager and has been with the company two years. He is a third generation woodworker, following in the footsteps of his father and grandfather. As a young child, he was given a piece of wood, hammer, nails and sandpaper to keep him occupied while his father and grandfather worked on their projects. This ignited his passion for woodworking. Now days, there is not much that Eric has not done or at least attempted. Building furniture, cabinets, crafts, clocks, toys and turning bowls and pens are just some of his favorite types of woodworking. His experience over the years has helped him become familiar with all kinds of woodworking products the industry has to offer. However, this does not mean he is done looking.  As Product Manager, he is always looking for great new products to introduce to woodworkers like you!

Miki is the Outlet Store Manager has been with Eagle America for 10 years.  She started in woodworking when she needed to replace a bathroom vanity that was an odd size.  She decided to take an adult education class at the local high school.  The project was a success and she decided to go back for two more sessions. One thing lead to another and she ended up working for a local woodshop for over six years making anything out of wood from custom kitchens and furniture to wood trim, mantels and funeral urns. One day, she ended up at Eagle America where you can find her in the outlet store helping customers choose the items they need to complete their projects. She might be the voice on the other end of the line when you call for technical support.

Bruce is a Store Associate and one of our Woodworkers. He has been with Eagle America  for over 9 years. Bruce is a Vietnam Vet and spent 4 years in the Navy as a Damage Control Carpenter. When he returned home, he worked as a Power Plant Steam Engineer for 26 years. Bruce has been working with wood for many years. He even built his own house and woodshop. Bruce loves to collect old tools and turn all types of bowls. From green to dry, domestic species to exotic species, Bruce has worked with them all!

Mike is a Store Associate and one of our Woodworkers. He spent 20 years as a manufactures representative in the lighting business and 20 years manufacturing architectural signage. After selling his sign business, Mike retired and came to work at Eagle America. Mike has been woodworking for many years and his specialty is building fine wood furniture.

Betty is one of our  friendly and knowledgeable Customer Service Representatives. She has worked at Eagle America for 11 years.  She is not a woodworker, but her husband is and she spends a lot of time in his garage/workshop “looking” at his tools.  No touching allowed. Betty especially likes the antique hand planes her husband has on display. Since Betty has gained so much knowledge working at Eagle America, her husband will every now and then ask her woodworking questions!

Tom is a Store Associate and one of our Woodworkers. He has been with Eagle America for 6 years after retiring from a 33 year career with GE Lighting.  His primary interests are his children and grandchildren, but when not visiting them, he spends a lot of time in the basement woodworking.  Projects include a dresser, a chest of drawers, nightstands, bed, jewelry cabinet, kids toys, case for a dart board, and currently a rocker.  He is working on his collection of hand tools and the skills to use them.
